Although I was born in Haywood County, NC, I grew up in Michigan. I have always loved the mountains, so I was truly blessed to meet my husband, Hugh, while I was vacationing in Haywood County, twenty-six years ago! I love where I live, and whom I live with!

Art has always been an important part of my life. My favorite classes in school were art related, and a great deal of my free time was spent drawing and painting. I do not have any impressive credentials, nor do I have any formal training. What I do have is a great love for the vastness of our Father’s creation. I am very thankful that He has placed within my being a desire to re-create on canvas the astounding beauty we see all around us!

Hugh and I became parents within the first two years of our lives together. Our oldest son, Aaron, is career military. He and his wife Caroline have given us two incredibly precious grandchildren, Aidan and Mikayla. Our daughter, Chelsea, is now in her second year of college pursuing a degree in music (piano). Our youngest son, Jared, is also a musician. At age sixteen, he has already won numerous bluegrass banjo and guitar awards.

I’m excited to be painting full time now! I spent the first half of my adult life as a full time wife and mother. Now as I’m entering mid-life, the artistic side of me is clamoring for a turn. If you are reading this bio-sheet, I have to assume that my artwork has struck a cord with you. If my work brings a joyful moment into your day, then I have achieved great success!
