Meet Susan Webb Tregay SUSAN WEBB TREGAY has long been a painter, teacher and author on the national art scene. The educational term "Successive Approximation" guides Susan Tregay's artistic life. Her paintings continually evolve through setting a goal, then devising small steps to move her from her current work toward this new goal. Consequently, lessons learned in one media enhance other types of work and this new work in turn inspires developments in past styles. Susan teaches painting workshops around the country, Canada and Puerto Rico and is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society and the Transparent Watercolor Society of America, showing regularly in national exhibitions. Her new book Master Disaster [North Light Publishers, 2007] focuses on concrete steps to finishing paintings, being creative and becoming an artist. She spent four years as art critic for the local paper in Rockford, Illinois and has written frequently for various national art magazines. Represented by galleries in Buffalo and Chautauqua, NY, Rock Hill, SC, and Rockford, IL, her work is included in 37 corporate collections and in numerous private homes around the world. Susan Webb Tregay is proudly represented by WICKWIRE fine art/folk art in Hendersonville, North Carolina. |
