Meet Pat Buhrke
PAT BUHRKE comes from the suburbs of Chicago. He graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois with a degree from the School of Engineering and Technology. The family business of tool and die and metal stamping was sold and he decided to pursue his passion of handcrafting fine rustic furnishings.
Pat’s creates artistic pieces which are structurally sound and looks upon his ability to craft aesthetically pleasing and highly functional furniture as the result of parental influences. His parents’ backgrounds were in art and engineering.
He strives to utilize natural materials that are indigenous to Western North Carolina. Nine of his rustic pieces were used (and seen! says Pat) in the lodge on the set of Warner Brothers, Wilmington, NC television series production “One Tree Hill.”
Pat is a member of The Southern Highland Craft Guild and has been featured at the “Guild Crafts Store” showcasing his artwork. Pat is completely self-taught and resides in Hendersonville with his wife Mary Kay.
Pat Buhrke is proudly represented by WICKWIRE fine art/folk art in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
